Many people go on diets expecting a quick fix. Lose weight for that wedding, summer, Christmas etc.
Extremes in dieting can be dangerous and you lose muscle as well as fat.
Therefore when you eat normally there is not enough muscle to burn off the same amount of calories as before, hence weight gain.
In fact they should be looking at the longer picture, a new way of life that can be followed easily
no extremes, no starve binge cycle. NO DIETS!
Many diets do not look at the person as a whole.
They only address the dietary issue and the quick fix dramatic weight loss that may not be healthy.
Many people with body image problems have issues related to self esteem and self worth.
They are very critical of themselves.
Even when they are very slim they can still feel fat because the real issues have not been addressed.
They often comfort and binge eat to anaesthetise any negative feeling they have about themselves.

Many diets only look at the dietary issues.
They do not look at the feelings associated with the foods.
Hypnosis can separate the moods from the foods. It seeks to release the associations that some people have with food.

Food dulls the pain, but that is only short lived and then the guilt feelings start and the low opinion of yourself only gets worse.
Then you need to comfort eat again.
It is a vicious cycle that can be broken with hypnotherapy.

The person with the weight problem indeed has a thin part and a fat part

This measures the speed the body converts carbohydrates to glucose, your body’s energy resource.
The quicker the food breaks down, the higher the number on the index.
The index sets glucose at 100 and scores food in relation to that number.
Eating foods with a high rating increases the production of insulin.
This results in a drop in blood sugar levels and the body then demands more food to boost the sugar levels.
The food is then more likely to be stored as fat.
Eating foods that are low on the index helps your blood sugar levels to be stable.
You then avoid the cravings and mood swings associated with fluctuating blood sugar levels.
